Homemade Remedies for Eczema

Here is one response I received from the last post – UNVEILING MOYO ONABOLU, which made me decide to write a follow up on the post. ‘She’s a wonderful writer and a great story. She didn’t say too much about her actual physical process though’ I had replied explaining that that’s how Moyo wants her story told.

After giving this some thought though I decided to write this. Some of the things written below are from my conversation with Moyo and some from a research I carried out. I also added a link to the story of another woman who had had this ailment and explains more specifically what she did.

One thing I noticed that has been consistent with people who had this ailment is that the Orthodox medicine didn’t give them lasting relief. The Eczema would go only to return after a while with some vengeance.

I say to you again quoting Moyo, ‘So now, to any eczema –carrying person out there, I will say, no ask, yet again beg, that you treat this with utmost care and find out what you need to do in your own skin journey…’ I wish you all the best in your Journey to total recovery.

Here are a few home remedies:

greenteaGreen Tea contains antioxidants which are good for detoxifying. You can take this after every meal or as often as you can.

Aloe Vera is a powerful antiseptic that brings about quick healing of open wounds. You can apply this topically or orally. Please see your doctor for the dosage if you want to take it orally.Aloe Vera

paw pawPaw Paw seeds reduce itching. Dry them in the oven and grind. Add a little water to make it into a paste and apply on the affected area.

omega 3Omega 3 fatty acids are one of the best ways to heal your eczema. This is found in fish oils and flax-seed oil. It reduces the inflammation on the skin.

Water can help soften the skin, so drink enough and form the habit of taking at least a glass of water first thing every morning.

Fresh Fruit Juice contains mega doses of vitamins and minerals from fruits and vegetables; this is an excellent way                                                                                     to speed up the healing of your body from the inside out.970392_336156789847085_266793950_n

Watching what you eat is also considered a natural cure for eczema. Eat what is as close to nature as possible. I remember Moyo saying that at some point she had to eliminate all whites from her diet – white rice, bread, meat pie and the rest.
